Project Nihilum: Zero is a narrative-driven visual novel that immerses players in a twisted story experienced from multiple perspectives. Players make impactful choices and utilize unique abilities—Mind Glimpse, Shape Shift, and Hybrid—to see the past, influence the present, and shape the future.The game is developed and published by Tired Racoon Games, led by Byaku To Kuro. The Project Nihilum universe, including Zero, is the intellectual property of Byaku To Kuro, showcasing a commitment to creating immersive and thought-provoking experiences.

Working on Project Nihilum: Zero presented a unique opportunity, as it was my first time collaborating with another translator on a project. Therefore, this collaboration required a higher level of communication than I normally have to worry about.
Apart from that, the biggest challenge was the differences in gender expression between English and Spanish. In English, a character’s gender can often remain ambiguous, while in Spanish, adjectives and verb conjugations typically reveal it.
Since the main character is gender neutral to give the player the option to relate to it regardless of their gender, I had to find creative ways to avoid making a mistake.
